How does this work?

Your browser asks a public IP-lookup service which network (ASN) announced your public IP address. Starlink routes all customer traffic through AS14593 (SpaceX Services / Starlink). If your IP belongs to that network — or the org name matches SpaceX/Starlink — you're on Starlink. Nothing is stored; everything runs in your browser.
